Check For Power Problem To The Control
Now, if you have verified everything mentioned above with no luck, you need to check if the mains is actually getting to the unitâs control module.
To do that:
Now, if you notice smoke signs on the part , it is a clear indicator that power is not getting to the control .
So, how do you fix this?
Well, you need to order a new IC and replacement resistor .
The best part?
The resistor and IC chip are fairly cheap and easily available so replacing them both should not be a big deal.
Quick Tip: You may need to measure the resistances of all the resistors to be sure which are/is faulty.
Dishwasher Not Draining Properly
Another common problem associated with Bosch dishwashers is at the dishwasher does not drain properly.
When this happens, the dirty water is left at the bottom of your dishwasher.
This is extremely unsanitary, which is why it is imperative to fix this problem immediately. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.
Begin by removing the filter and drain. If there is a lot of water, you may need to remove the water by using a cup to ladle it out.
Once most of the water is removed, place a dry rag all the way into the washer drain to remove all the water and junk.
Next, loosen and remove the nut using a screwdriver. Then, remove the part to reveal the impeller.
Move the impeller around to see if anything is jamming the impeller. Remove any debris.
Additionally, pull out the rubber check valve and make sure there is no debris.
It is important to note that you should try to make the water backwasher through the impeller and rubber piece.
This will allow you to see any debris that may be getting in your way. It may take you a couple of tries before you are able to find the debris.
Reset The Circuit Breaker Or Fuse In Your Home
First of all, try to reset the circuit breaker or fuse in your home -you want to turn the circuit breaker or fuse that supplies power to your dishwasher off then back on.
Here is the best way to do the reset:
Try to use the dishwasher once again and see if the issue has been resolved.
If not, proceed as follows:

Water Not Filling Up Dishwasher
The fourth common problem associated with Bosch dishwashers is that water does not fill up the dishwasher.
This is a problem since it will not allow the dishwasher to properly clean your dishes, which is unsanitary.
It is important to fix this problem right away.
Like many of the other problems on this list, water not filling up the dishwasher is caused by a faulty water inlet valve.
If the valve is defective, it can cause it to close early, which prevents water from fully filling up the dishwasher during the cycle.
To fix this problem, you can replace the water inlet valve. You do this by removing the old valve, which is accessed by the lower access panels.
You will need to detach a wire harness, disconnect the water line, and remove the brass elbow.
Then, remove the old water inlet valve and replace it with the new one. Reassemble your dishwasher and test to make sure it is fixed.
You may also want to test the solenoids of the dishwasher. The solenoids are magnets that allow the water inlet valve to open and close.
You will use a multimeter to see if there is an issue with the solenoids.
Check Whether The Power Is On

This should be at the top of the list when it comes to checking all electronic devices. For them to operate, they must be receiving power, and hence the power knob should be on. If the power is on yet the Bosch dishwasher wont turn on, you should confirm that the installed fuses and power breaker are working. If you are uncomfortable checking on connectivity, then you can contact a licensed technician to check this out for you. This is because, under many circumstances, dishwashers are connected to the homes electrical wiring hence it may be tricky to confirm power availability if you dont know where and when to touch the cables. You should, therefore, be very careful when checking the wiring. If you do not have the skill and experience to make appliance repairs then please r.

Sometimes internal components malfunction and need to be replaced. If you are an experienced DIYer, you may be able to repair the broken dishwasher yourself, but before opening the machine to work on it, be sure to disconnect it from the power source. Use a multimeter to test internal components. Obtain a wiring diagram for your dishwasher model to ensure that you are testing the correct terminals.

The Timer Is Defective
Lastly, if your dishwasher is taking a really long time to finish a cycle or if it keeps on running, then check to see if theres a problem with the timer motor.
To do this, set your multitester to the x1000 setting and see if you can get a reading of between 2,000 to 3,000 ohms. If you cant, then you need to replace the timer, as shown in this video:

Bosch Dishwasher Soap Dispenser Not Opening
There are a number of reasons why your Bosch dishwasher soap dispenser is not opening, but there are two culprits in particular that are likely to blame. First and foremost, its a general rule of thumb to never fill the soap dispenser completely to the brim. The reason is that this is a surefire way to cause the lid and body of the soap dispenser to stick, and not open.
Another common reason why the soap dispenser in your Bosch dishwasher may not be opening properly is due to low temperatures. If the temperature around the soap dispenser is too cold, then this could cause the lid to contract and get tighter around the soap dispenser, preventing it from opening. Luckily, this can be fixed by simply pouring warm water on the lid.
If you have difficulty opening the soap dispenser on your Bosch dishwasher, and are unable to find a solution yourself. The best thing to do is consult the owners manual for the machine, or contact additional support to help you fix the problem. Its always better to ask for help than to try to fix the problem yourself and potentially break the soap dispenser entirely.
Fix /replace The Control Panel Itself
The control panel could itself be actually inoperative and this is very likely if resetting the breaker and turning on power did not make the indicator lights turn on.
However, you need to check the ribbon cable connecting the panel to the main control board for corrosion- it sometimes rusts leading to poor contact.
So try to take the control panel assembly apart and clean any corrosion you find on the cable terminals.
Also, check the cable connections- you want them to be tight to ensure good contact .
If this doesnât help, it could be time to replace the entire control panel .
So you need to find the right replacement control panel and perform the swap.
Now, the control panel should be very easy to replace and there are helpful YouTube videos you can watch if you need more help.

Bosch Classixx Dishwasher Not Starting

If your Bosch dishwasher wont start, the most likely causes are listed below. Check these before calling a service technician.
-Door switch: The door switch activates the dishwasher when you close the door and prevents it from running while the door is open. If the switch is defective, the dishwasher may not start.
-Water inlet valve: The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. If the valve is defective, the dishwasher wont fill and may not start.
-Thermostat: The thermostat monitors the dishwasher temperature and controls the heating element. If the thermostat is defective, the dishwasher may not heat the water and may not start.
-Control board: The control board controls the dishwasher cycle, timing, and functions. If the control board is defective, the dishwasher wont start or may run through a cycle without stopping.

Check The Wiring Harness
The wiring or cable harness consists of various wires that connect to various parts of the dishwasher. On most models, the wiring harness can be found with the control panel. Excess heat sometimes damages the wiring harness, or wires can melt and attach to the dishwasher.
- Examine the wiring harness for any of the above issues.
- Replacing the wiring harness is difficult and should only be attempted by professionals. This is especially true if multiple wires need to be replaced. A mistake will likely be costly and dangerous.
- Replacing a couple of easily accessible wires is slightly easier, but it is still best repaired by a professional.
Bosch Dishwasher Not Starting And Clicking Noise
If your Bosch dishwasher isnt starting, the first thing you should check is the power supply. Make sure that the dishwasher is plugged in and that the circuit breaker hasnt tripped. If everything looks good on the power front, then its time to move on to the next potential problem.
One of the most common reasons for a dishwasher not to start is because the door isnt closed properly. So, make sure that the door is shut tight and that theres nothing blocking it from closing fully.
If youve checked both of these things and your Bosch dishwasher still wont start, then its likely that theres an issue with the control panel. The best way to troubleshoot this is to consult your owners manual.

What To Do If Your Bosch Dishwasher Is Leaking
Its always alarming when your Bosch dishwasher starts to leak, but the good news is that its generally pretty easy to find the source of the problem and the solution to fix it. One of the most common areas, when theres a leak with your dishwasher, is the door seals. You will probably see this right away as the water will start to leak out from the front of the dishwasher and directly onto the floor.
To solve this you will need to either repair or replace the seal and potentially think about tightening the door latch with a screwdriver to secure it properly.
Another reason why your Bosch dishwasher might be leaking is that you have used the wrong detergent. Depending on which type of detergent you use, this could result in excessive suds which will essentially push water out from the dishwasher causing leaks and flooding.
Outside of these two factors, other reasons why your Bosch dishwasher might be leaking could be that theres a problem with the drain hose, the circulation pump or the gasket. Any one of these will require a thorough inspection, and potentially a full-on replacement if you are unable to unclog or repair the drain, pump or gasket.
Bosch Dishwasher Is Not Getting Power
The Bosch dishwasher wont turn on because the power is off.
Make sure It is Plug-In: If your dishwasher is plugged in and the power cord leading to it isnt damaged, then there is an easy way to check if youve got power going through.
Test a lamp near the plug socket. If youre certain that the problem lies with your Bosch dishwasher or its plugin point, try swapping out plugs . Remember to pull on both ends of an old plug, as sometimes they can wiggle loose without much pressure. Be sure not to touch live wires when changing sockets!
Dishwasher breaker tripped: If the power is on and plugged into a working socket, try flipping your Bosch dishwashers breaker. You may have tripped it by accident or you might have blown a fuse. Test other outlets in your home to be sure that this was an isolated incident before calling for repairs. If there are no electrical problems with any of the other sockets in your house, dont hesitate to call up an electrician!
Check the Thermal Fuse: Bosch dishwashers usually have a thermal fuse located on the bottom of your Bosch dishwasher. A thermal fuse will shut power off if the dishwasher overheats. If the fuse blows, itll prevent the machine from starting. To determine if its defective, use a multimeter to check for continuity when measuring the fuse and replace it with one that has continuity.

Bosch Dishwasher Keeps Filling And Draining
If your Bosch dishwasher keeps filling and draining, then you should look at either the impeller jug or the flow meters.
It can also be an indicator that water is getting into the base of your dishwasher where the anti-flooding mechanism is. When water collects at the base, the safety switch floats and this triggers the dishwasher to pump water out of the appliance. This will prevent your dishwasher from flooding your kitchen and destroy the electronics found at the base.

Bosch Dishwasher Won’t Cycle Or Spray Water Any Ideas
Hi everyone, first time posting here. My Bosch shu43c05uc/17 dishwasher isnt spraying water or cycling through. The spray arms are clean and the filter is clean, so I dont believe thats the problem. Ill start it, hot water gets pumped in, and theres a loud hum sound. Itll run for the duration of the cycle, but it wont cycle through the different modes. Its a sound that isnt typical. And sometimes it will sit on the last minute until I cancel the cycle. It is able to drain.
Ive reset it via turning power off. Ive run the diagnostic, but I dont believe thats working properly . The Bosch manual is terrible and provides zero information on this. Bosch told me to reach out to an authorized service tech.
What are some options causing the problem? Im not finding much information online and before I call the handy man, Id like to narrow down my options because their troubleshooting gets quite costly. And Id even do the repair myself if it was reasonable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!
Use The Control Panel

The first option is as easy as pressing a button. Most dishwasher owners tend to overlook the Reset Feature in every dishwasher brand they acquire. The Reset button on the newer Bosch models is paired with the Start button, which can be confusing at times. All you need to reset the stuck wash cycle is to press the Reset button for three to five seconds.
Look for the start button on the control panel and press it for at least three seconds before releasing with the door tightly closed. If the dishwasher responds after a few seconds with a pump or motor movement, it means it was stuck on a paused wash cycle. You are fortunate if the Control Panel is facing you. Some dishwashers have the Incognito Design, which means that the control panel hides under the countertop once you firmly close the door. You will have to be much more careful when opening the door with the Incognito Design because the pressurized water may spill out of the door, potentially scalding your skin.
Cautiously open the door to access the control panel. Press the start button firmly and then release it before swiftly closing the door. After five seconds, you should hear some pump movement if the dishwasher was just stuck in a paused cycle. Consequently, it will complete the current cycle and use control panel lights or noise to indicate that its done. Reset the dishwasher for a new cycle.
