Whirlpool Quiet Partner Ii Not Draining

Whirlpool is one of the most trusted and revered brands on the market today. They have been around for decades creating some of the best-quality appliances around. Their line of dishwashers in particular is quite popular.

For the Quiet Partner II dishwasher, there may be an issue where the appliance does not drain. This is a fairly common problem and one that has a couple of relatively easy solutions. The most likely cause is that there is some blockage preventing the drain pump from working properly. It could also be that the house drain is either blocked or slow. Finally, the impeller that is on the drain pump may be damaged and require replacing.

Reasons And Solutions For Whirlpool Quiet Partner Ii Wont Drain

  • Clogged Check Valve
  • The check valve is a very important component when it comes to issues like this with the drainage in dishwashers. It is responsible for keeping certain things in check, including the flow of water in the dishwasher during certain situations. If this component ever gets clogged, there are bound to be lots of issues with the appliance.

An example of this is the problem users might be facing right now. Check valves getting clogged results in the water inside draining very slowly compared to usual, or sometimes not draining at all in this case. Theres only one thing to do, which is to inspect this component and clean it.

  • Inspect Drain Hose
  • The drain hose is also a very important component for draining, as its name clearly suggests. The hose is used to direct water towards the right exits so that there arent any problems with it. However, sometimes this can also get clogged up or even cut.

When this happens, the dishwasher will start to pile up water instead of getting rid of it. Check out the user manual to locate the drain hose and check it for any such problems.

One of the main reasons for this problem is a power issue with the drain motor. We recommend getting some tools to make sure that this isnt the case. Use whatever you can or get a professional with the right tools to take a look at this for you.

  • Replace Drain Pump

The Whirlpool Quiet Partner Ii Dishwasher Will Not Turn On

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Dishwasher Model DU1101XTP83. I washed a load of dishes and everything seemed to work fine. When I went to unload the dishes, the green light above the “Normal” touch pad was blinking but the dishes were clean, no standing water in the bottom. I’ve read thru several of the other posts on this topic but none seem to be the same issue.

I checked the breaker, it was not tripped. I tried turning it off for several minutes. When the power is turned back on, the “Door Lock” indicator light next to the “Heated Dry” button, blinks for about 60 seconds or so, then stops and the “Normal” light starts flashing again. The reset sequences mentioned in the owners manual, as well as those in other posts have had no effect, the only lights that come on are the 2 mentioned.

I tested both door latch microswitches for continuity, they are good. The thermal electronic fuse is good as well although I havent tested for voltage because I’m not sure where to touch the ground probe without causing more damage. I’ve disconnected each wire to check for any burnt connectors and also checked the control board on both sides for any heat damage or poor solder connections. Everything appears fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Thought I Would Never Buy A Whirlpool But Love It

it has been 3 months now that we have our stainless steel whirlpool dishwasher and I think it is awesome. this replaced a kenmore dishwasher that was at least te years old. we did inherit the kenmore when we bought the house. it is extremely quiet. it does run for at least an hour. now we saw a drop in our energy bill. it cleans great. we lik the super clean feature. I agree with another reviewer that the heartier cycles work the best. I like the fact that the control panel is on the top and kind of hidden from view. I think it allows for the dishwasher to blend better in the kitchen as well as keeping the front cleaner. I like te fact that the utensil tray is in the door way. it also could be held in the racks if you would like it there too. this frees up more room for pots and pans. the only change I would make is to make better glass holders. I think the top rack could be redesign to hold glasses better.
