How About Yeti Lids Are They Dishwasher Safe
Yeti maintains that their lids are dishwasher safe as well. The lids and seals are durable enough to go through dishwashing cycles. However, it is perhaps the wiser decision to wash the lids manually.
The rubber gasket that comes with every lid maintains the function of the entire cup, keeping it airtight. Any damage to the rubber gasket may result in malfunctioning drinkware as the whole.
The high temperatures inside a dishwasher may be enough to wear out the rubber gasket, especially after repeated washes. Moreover, washing the ramblers is quite simple whereas, washing the lids requires intricate attention. You need to ensure youre reaching every nook and corner to clean all the deposits that have built up over time.
If youre wondering how to clean Yeti cups and their lids without a dishwasher, heres a detailed guideline to follow:

Does Yeti Have A Lifetime Warranty
Currently, no products offered by Yeti carry a lifetime warranty. Yeti does stand by their products, however, and offers three- or five-year limited warranties on their multiple offerings. The rambler cup in particular carries a five-year limited warranty.
What does a limited warranty mean exactly? These types of warranties are conditional, and will only be honored if all of the stated conditions are met. Manufacturers do this so that consumers don’t abuse the product and then request a refund or a replacement. Yeti has set forth the following conditions for their warranty:
- The Yeti must have been purchased from an authorized Yeti dealer or retailer
- You must have proof of purchase with the date clearly visible
- The product must be returned to Yeti
- You must have only used the Yeti product in the way it was intended to be used and maintained it according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Should all of the above conditions be met, Yeti claims to have a replacement at your door within twenty-one days of Yeti receiving your defective or worn-out product.

Why Are Starbucks Cups Hand Wash Only
They are plastic with air sealed between the two layers to provide the insulation. That airspace will swell if heated in the hot dishwasher, break open, and the airtight seal will be lost. If they are washed later, soapy water will get in between the layers and they will lose their effectiveness in insulating.
Can You Put Yeti Cups In The Microwave
A big and bold NO microwaving yeti cups is a bad idea because all Yeti drinkware includes mugs, ramblers, jugs, etc., are made from 18/8 stainless steel. As we know, steel, aluminum, and any such conductive metals are prone to radiation and can heat up excessively.
Microwaving Yeti drinkware can result in sparks, smoke, and even break out of flames inside the oven and therefore can cause dangerous accidents.
Besides, why microwave a Yeti cup anyway? These marvels of conductive metal are made to keep things hot or cold inside for hours on end. If you want to enjoy your hot coffee hours later than when you made it, just pour it directly from the kettle and into the Yeti cup and you dont need a microwave.
What to do about hot coffee when repeated use results in stubborn coffee stains inside the Yeti cup? Lets find out.

Does The Dishwasher Ruin Yeti Cups
With that said, there have been many reports of yeti cups shattering in the dishwasher. And if this is the case for you, we would recommend discarding them immediately. Of course, its hard to put the blame on the dishwasher entirely.
The reason for the yeti cup shattering is not totally clear. However, the most likely culprit is the capping point, which holds the cup together in the cup. In the dishwasher, the capping point loosens and the cup separates. The amount of time it takes for the capping point to break down is also unclear. But it seems like the risk is rather large.
How To Clean A Yeti Drinkware
Carefully remove the rubber gasket and straw cap from the lid and place them in the yeti cups dishwasher with a few cups of water and dishwashing soap. Be sure to rinse the straw before reattaching the rubber gasket in the lid to the lid. Despite the claims of Yetis Tumbler being dishwasher safe, Publican Anker doesnt recommend you do that.
Kitchen seer, a new blog that examines what makes a kitchen excellent or bad. How dish soap functions and how tumbler functions are being examined. One of the things I found interesting was how the yeti cups dishwasher worked. I didnt know that it still rinsed itself or warm water was used to heat up or cool down the sprayer. This is important for us as we need to install a dishwasher with no piping hot water hookup.

Hand Washing A Yeti Tumbler
Sometimes, it might not be practical to wash your Yeti drinkware. Some of the larger models dont actually fit too well in the dishwasher so its more convenient to hand wash these.
Maybe you dont have a dishwasher whatever the reason, hand washing your Yeti is an easy thing to do and, providing you do it properly, will bring your cup back to brand new condition again.
Similarities Between Yeti And Hydro Flask
Both models use top-of-the-line materials and technology. But, both are a bit on the pricier side as well. However, considering that both models are leaders in the insulated water bottle market, they have the potential to last for many years, and because of that, I think the prices are fair.
I even have one Hydro Flask with a big dent in the side. It fell 8 feet from my backpack onto rocks while scrambling. I still use it more than a year later. See the image below, and yes, it was a rainy day up the mountains.
Each model is virtually indestructible. No matter what you go for, rust or punctures wont be a problem. You may dent or scratch them a bit, but both will survive almost anything you put them through, as you can see from the Hydro Flask above.
Aside from lending strength and durability to the water bottle, stainless steel is highly resistant to bacteria and odors. And it does not affect the taste of your drinks.
Each model features double-wall vacuum insulation. This technology prevents the exterior temperature from affecting the temperature of the liquid inside. If you pour cold water inside, it will stay cold for an extended period. If you pour hot coffee inside, it will stay hot for up to 6 hours on average.

How To Wash The Lid And Its Parts
There are multiple lid types for various styles of Yeti cups. We’ll focus on the slide-top lid for this post. There are three parts to the lid: the lid itself, the gasket, and the slider top. The gasket and slider-top should be removed first. This should be done by hand and is very easy.
You can either place these pieces in your dishwasher’s utensil holder, or you can use a sponge, hot water, and dish soap to finish the job by hand. If cleaning by hand, allow to air dry completely before reassembling your Yeti’s lid.
Should you have a different lid on your Yeti and would like to know how to safely disassemble, clean, and reassemble it, you can visit Yeti’s official site.
Care Instructions State They Are Dishwasher Safe
This funny image from a Yeti customer that was posted to Reddit in 2017 is likely caused by Yeti transitioning their instruction manuals and packaging. The instruction manual inside the cup said NOT safe for dishwashers while the care instructions on the external sleeve say it is dishwasher safe.
While I cannot confirm that all the new packaging states they are dishwasher safe I would presume that now all care instructions say the same thing and confirm that YES Yeti Rambler Tumblers are in fact dishwasher safe.
This also goes for all sizing of the Tumblers. 10oz, 20oz and 30oz tumblers should all be considered dishwasher safe. You can throw them in there for a quick and easy clean and not have to worry about it.
