Why Is There Water Left In The Bottom Of My Bosch Dishwasher
Answer: A little water sitting below the filter is normal. It’s possible that there isn’t a check valve which can cause it or the way the older Bosch dishwashers work, they don’t completely dry, so a small amount of water can gather. That said, a rinse cycle with vinegar won’t hurt anything.Jul 20, 2021

Causes:
- In some cases, your spray arm may be restricted by an obstruction.
- Spray nozzles got clogged
- Dishes are stacked too closely or nested.
- Food soil cannot be adequately washed in the selected wash cycle.
Solution:
Before starting the washer, make sure hand-rotating spray arms arent blocking the spray arm. Then, remove the spray arms and clean them as directed in the Care and Maintenance section. Detergent should be increased or decreased depending on water hardness levels. Cleaning any filters is a good idea while theyre still wet.
Just Some Of The Ways We Approach Noise Reduction:
- Precision spray arms: Extensive engineering hours resulted in spray arm technology that projects water directly towards the dishes, minimizing the sporadic spraying of inner sides and door helping with noise reduction.
- InfoLight/TimeLight: Bosch dishwashers are so quiet we added InfoLight so you know a cycle is running, and TimeLight to provide additional information like the amount of time remaining in the cycle.
- EcoSilence motor system: Two small brushless motors offer quieter operations than a single large motor they are held in place by rubber suspenders to minimize vibrations. The system also shuts off when drained to reduce the snorkeling sound.

Bosch Silence Plus 44 Dba Not Draining

A typical issue you may have with this Bosch dishwasher model is its failure to drain properly. If this occurs, dirty water remains in the bottom of the dishwasher, which is exceedingly unclean.
You need to have this problem fixed fast.
- Remove the filter and drain first. If there is a significant amount of water, you may need to remove it using a ladle.
- Insert a dry towel down the washer drain to remove any remaining water and debris.
- Using a screwdriver, loosen and remove the nut. Then, remove the component to expose the propeller.
- Move the impeller around to determine whether anything obstructs it, and remove clutters if any.
Remove the rubber check valve and inspect it for debris. Also, try to backwash the water via the impeller and rubber component.

Dishwasher Door Isnt Latched
To prevent leaks, your Bosch dishwasher wont start if the door isnt securely closed and latched. Once it is, the switch inside the door latch can receive the control panels signal to start the dishwasher. When starting the dishwasher, make sure the door is completely closed to engage the latch and switch.
Signs of a broken dishwasher latch or switch include the dishwasher not starting even if the door is properly closed. A broken switch will also exhibit a lack of continuity with multimeter testing. Either one of these components cannot be repaired and requires replacement.
Why Is My Bosch Silence Plus 44 Dba Beeping
Bosch dishwashers are designed to beep when there is an error. A beep means that your drain is not clogged, and the rest of the parts are functioning as they should. Beeping in the middle of the cycle points to the problem with the control board itself. Find the circuit breaker and turn it off for 60 seconds.

My Bosch Silence Plus Dishwasher
BY Kevin Lee Jacobs |
Does Silence Plus deserve its title? Yes! If not for the red dot that shines the kitchen floor, youd never know the machine was running.
Bosch has wisely placed the control panel on the top of the door. Hidden this way, the buttons can not be accidentally pressed.
Speaking of buttonsafter a recent dinner party, I stuffed the machine with dirty stemware , and selected the Speed function. One hour later, the glassware glistened. For very dirty dishes, I routinely use the machines 2-hour Auto cycle. As the hot water evaporates, the dishes dry themselves.
I have not used the other cleaning options on the Silence Plus. Auto works like a charm.
And here is a glimpse of the bottom rack. I often remove the cutlery basket to make room for my Dutch ovens and other large pots and pans.
When Im faced with lots of dirty dishes meaning more than those pictured above I simply tuck small objects beneath large. On the Auto cycle, even the most tightly-packed dishes come clean.
To my surprise, the V-shaped top rack is a dream. I use it for pastry brushes and spatulas
And tongs and prep bowls
And a shocking amount of forks, spoons, and knives.
In case youre wondering, Bosch recommends this detergent
And this rinsing-aid.
Now, since Im a recipe-developer as well as a food blogger/vlogger, I probably dirty more dishes per day than the average household. In two months of heavy use , the Bosch Silence Plus has not let me down.

Rules And Subtleties Of Caring For Equipment
Expensive equipment should be constantly looked after. From care products need special salt for dishwashers.
So that the Bosch dishwasher lasts as long as possible, do not forget to control the appearance of scale or fat on the rocker arms.If they appeared, then it is necessary to start the idle cycle with the powder and turn on the intensive washing.
Sprayers for water and detergents should be washed from plaque and food debris so that the quality of the wash does not decrease. All these parts are removable, and running hot water is suitable for cleaning them. If the components are very dirty, then use a soft cloth, pre-soaping it.
In addition, it is very important to monitor the condition of the filters of the Silence Plus dishwasher, as they are often clogged with dirt particles due to poor-quality water. The system consists of a pre-cleaner and a flat filter for fine cleaning, as well as a microfilter.
It is advisable to check them after each use of the dishwasher or at least once a week. If they clog, rinse them with hot tap water. If this is not done, then the accumulated dirt will block the drain pump. And this can lead to a malfunction of the entire dishwasher.
For more information on cleaning the dishwasher, see this article.

Bosch Silence Plus 44 Dba Dishwasher Making Noise
A Bosch Silence Plus 44 DBA dishwasher can be an irritating unit if it makes noise and fail to perform correctly.
The noise that a dishwasher makes may be because of a minor or serious issue. For example, a buzzing or rattling noise from the dishwasher means the water input valve is faulty and may need a replacement.
Other causes of the noise may include:
- The temperature of the water is too high for this time of year.
- The motor shaft is vibrating because of a damaged motor bearing or axle.
- There is food or other material clogging the filter screen at the bottom of the dishwasher.
- Poor thermal insulation can lead to higher than usual operating temperatures in one region and lower-than-optimal performance in the other. This is due to a lack of thermal insulation between components.
Your dishwasher will work as it should, but I suggest you check what could be causing the noise and fix the issue accordingly.

Other Related Bosch Dishwasher Problems
If you successfully reset the stuck Bosch dishwasher cycle, give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. But dishwashers have proven stubborn even after resetting through the control board and a manual reset. This indicates that something in the system is not working as expected.
In some instances, the door switch or door latch is broken, tricking the sensors into relaying the information to the Control Centre that the door is open. Additionally, you may have reset the dishwasher after a stuck cycle, only for it to stop working after it has begun. Although the systems are up and running, the vibration produced after resuming the wash cycle may disorient the door sensors.
Outside interference is also not uncommon. Pets or small children may accidentally crash into the door and displace the latch. If a broken door or switch breaks the electrical connections between different parts, it tricks the machine into believing that the door is open. Ensure that the door latch or switch is broken before hopping on a call with a serviceman.
